ABOUT RICK KRUEGER

Rick was born and raised in New Jersey and spent most of his life splitting time between the shore and the suburbs just 15 miles west of New York City. During his high school and college years, he was an active musician, playing as a solo artist with one album to his credit as well as lead guitar for a number of bands including Shaftway, The Rhythm Method, and Tom Vella and the Wayside.

When he wasn't slinging a guitar, Rick found a passion for photography after his parents gave him a Canon Rebel X for his High School graduation present - he began shooting local scenery in the Berkshires while attending the University of Massachusetts and began shooting bands & live music upon his return to New Jersey shortly after earning his B.A. in Communication.

Rick is now a part-time professional photographer, spending his days working in Marketing/Project Management and nights & weekends shooting and editing portraits, headshots, fashion, glamour, and boudoir. In addition, Rick teaches lighting and composition for other local photographers, and runs a small design & retouching outfit, Squire Blue Creative, out of his home office. He is based in the Morristown, New Jersey area, but travels frequently for his work.

But a man is only as good as the team he surrounds himself with - Rick works with a number of great local hairstylists, makeup artists, and other designers. His core team includes Jessica Giordano-Koeck (Makeup Artist), Michelle Delaney (Hairstylist and Photo Assistant), Dave DeRiso (Design and Retouching Artist), and his wife, Lauren Krueger (Wardrobe and Shoot Consultant).
